Neurogenesis Neurofeedback

Neurogenesis Neurofeedback Neurofeedback balances and enhances the brain waves. In Santa Barbara and SLO counties to offer resources for Peak performance, mental health & ASD issues

My mission is to provide you with personalized, high-quality care with neurofeedback. This approach involves the use of EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) as a viable modality for treating dysregulations which are often subconscious however their symptoms are often times undermining the quality of our lives. Disorders such as addictions or depression have been successfully treated with the right amou

nt of sessions. These sessions promote the brain's self regulation through electrical impulses that reach through the scalp via electrode, (no you don't feel electrical shocks or current).

"In his book “Letter, v.) Carl Jung wties, “ Accordingly, the capacity to nullify space and time must somehow inhere in the psyche, or, to put it another way, the psyche does not exist wholly in time and space. It is very probable that only what we call consciousness is contained in space and time, and that the rest of the psyche, the unconscious, exists in a state of relative spacelessness and timelessness." I love this. We often experience this with clients whether it thought a therapy washing over psycho trauma in Neuro therapy or hypnosis. There is a suspension of time.

☀️ Summer of Slay: Reading Edition

When reading feels tough, it’s not about being lazy — sometimes the eyes or brain just need a neurofeedback reset.

Neurofeedback uses operant conditioning (college words) video games that help the brain build memory, reading comprehension, and understanding — turning focus training into playtime. These are not commercial video games but games that actually help train the brain for better reading skills.

This summer, we’re helping kids slay their reading goals like they’re leveling up in their favorite game.

🔔 Let Freedom Ring Between Your Ears 🔔
When I think of why I like doing neurofeedback on clients who have been painted into corners by titles like ADHD, or Anxiety and they start to own those tags “I just can’t go play beciase of MY anxiety.” I see the tie to that unhappy relationship between their life and these prescribed limits and it takes away their FREEDOM.

Freedom isn’t just a word we celebrate — it’s a rhythm your brain can learn to play.
When your neural pathways reconnect, clarity replaces chaos, and calm becomes a state change in your brain which affects your happiness and performance.

This Independence Day, I’m honoring the kind of freedom that starts inside —
the freedom to think clearly, feel deeply, and live fully.

When the moment is heavy and the stadium holds its breath, focus becomes the difference between hesitation and greatness.

The U.S. Men’s National Team claims to use neurofeedback to sharpen that edge — training their brains to stay calm, centered, and precise in the highest‑pressure situations.

Neurofeedback isn’t guesswork. It’s real‑time brain training that strengthens the systems responsible for timing, clarity, and emotional regulation.

If elite athletes can train their focus, so can you.
Master your moment.

A healthy brain can shift from
Task to task…
It knows when to drop into focus, when to open the doors to creativity, when to drop into rest, when to emotionally process or rise into executive control.

But for many people with ADHD or learning differences, the brain gets stuck.
Stuck in overwhelm.
Stuck in distraction.
Stuck in shutdown.
Stuck in “I know what to do, but I can’t make myself do it.”

This season, I’m opening a small number of spots for students who need support with:

• ADHD regulation — building the ability to move between focus and rest
• Learning challenges — strengthening processing, memory, and executive skills
• Emotional overload — helping the nervous system settle so learning becomes possible again
• School readiness — rebuilding confidence before fall returns

If your child has been struggling — not because they’re lazy, but because their brain can’t shift gears — this is a gentle, powerful place to start.

Send me a message if you want one of the summer spots.
Their brain can learn the dance again.

Yes I do housecalls- even to Italy!
One of the frequences we're hitting here is 19-25 hz, 0.1 step, 5000 msec, 0.5 mA
The frequency sits in the brain's fast current (high beta), which is associated with alertness, mental effort, and cognitive control. When used therapeutically, this range is often chosen to help a brain that is under‑activating in the frontal regions or struggling with attention, motivation, or mental stamina.

Using a gentle neurotherapy we're not pushing the brain up or down — we're rhythmically nudging it to sync and
improve daily task management skills, and more consistent emotional regulation (planning, organizing, impulse control)

Targeting the left and right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) — the brain’s “control center.” It might be a lot to ask for, but we're not shy about going after what we want (life is short-why settle).

Keeping JM comfortable while we embark on his first protocol in 2 years. All the other protocols have held beautifully. His first session during COVID he was afraid of everything; anyone touching him, going down stairs and especially climbing on anything (even a couch). I had to have someone hold a full length mirror so he could see what I was doing with the electrodes that he was sure would hurt or mame him. After the 3rd session he jumped off a 4 foot log. After his fifth session he was waking up the back of the couch by himself! Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center
Six years later he’s functioning in the original Maria Montessori school in Perugia, Italy

Three very important questions about neurotherapy...
1. Does insurance cover the neurotherapy?
Answer: Sadly, it does not. If you see Dr. Elliot in the
Santa Barbara office, MediCal will pay for a 10-minute adjunct session. The full protocol sessions are an hour, which insurance doesn't yet cover.
***BUT if you have a STROKE or CONCUSSION, MediCARE MIGHT pay for the EEG Brain map, in which case it is up to the patient to be reimbursed. WE DON'T BILL INSURANCE. We recommend you get a referral from your MD. We will furnish a receipt of payment, and we will give you a letter stating that the FDA approves it for this service.
(PHEW, that's a lot).

2. Do I have to keep doing neurotherapy forever for it to work?
No you don't. Your brain is neuroplastic- it is being retrained and rehabilitated to be regulated. You may need touch ups...because life happens. This therapy is re-regulating your nervous system to be more efficient and more organized.

3. Are puppy snuggles extra? No- if you want puppy snuggles they are included for the price of the session. We do not allow puppy snuggles during a brain map. That is a clinical process that doesn't include algorithms for brain stimulation resulting from excessive puppy joy.
