Someone bought a table for eight. Then they gave it back. ❤️

One generous supporter purchased a table of eight to GIVING BACK, a benefit dinner for Family Care Network on September 22—and then donated the tickets back so another group of eight lucky individuals can enjoy the evening.

That’s $680 worth of tickets up for grabs!

Hosted by local high schooler Abby and her nonprofit, Fostering Future Hope, the dinner is made possible in part by Branch Street Deli & Pizzeria , which is donating the food, venue and service. All ticket sales and proceeds from the silent auction benefit Family Care Network.

The evening includes:

🍷 W**e reception
🍽️ Four-course dinner
🎶 Entertainment
🛍️ Silent auction

Want to win the table?

Just like this post and tell us in the comments who you’d bring with you.

That’s it! We’ll randomly select one winner on Sept 18th!

And if you don’t win, you can still join us! Tickets sales support Family Care Network and can be purchased through the link in the comments.

We had such a lovely afternoon with the members of South SLO County Womenade ! 💛

Our Development Manager, Lupita Ducharme, recently joined friends, colleagues, and community partners for a gathering celebrating the incredible generosity and community spirit of this group.

Since its inception, South SLO County Womenade has raised more than $1 million to support the South SLO County community. Their recent gathering also marked the kickoff of a campaign to build their endowment fund, creating a foundation for continued community support in the years ahead.

We were grateful to spend the afternoon connecting with other local organizations and community leaders, including our friends from Carbon City Lights and People's Self-Help Housing.

📸 Photo 2: Carbon City Lights and community partners Brittany Venia and Caity McCardell from People's Self-Help Housing.

We're grateful for opportunities like these to come together, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the people who continue investing in the South SLO County community.

Thank you, South SLO County Womenade, for showing what collective generosity can accomplish!

We're grateful for community partners who are willing to make room when it's needed.

While we were relocating to a new office space in northern SLO County, we needed a temporary home base for our staff—and a place where program participants could continue meeting with their teams.

StoryLabs generously provided us with office space during the transition.

From the beginning, their team was professional, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. The space was a perfect fit for our immediate needs and allowed our staff to keep doing their work and our program participants to continue accessing support without interruption.

A special thank you to Scott Morrel and the Storylabs team for welcoming Family Care Network and helping make our transition to a new space a smooth one.

We're fortunate to have businesses in our community that understand that supporting local nonprofits can mean making space—literally and figuratively—for the work that matters. 💛

A family we serve recently found themselves facing a major car repair they couldn't afford.

Their vehicle is an important part of their everyday independence—getting to work, school, appointments, and all the places a family needs to go. A major repair threatened to take that independence away.

Our community helped us find a solution.

We connected with the Auntie Isabell Foundation, who generously provided funding to help cover the repairs. We also partnered with Central Coast Smog & Auto Repair shop who generously offered reduced pricing on the services the family needed.

The car was repaired.
The family got back on the road.
Their independence was restored.

We're so grateful to both of these community partners for stepping in and helping make a difficult situation a little easier for this family.

This is the kind of community support that makes a real, practical difference in people's lives.

Thank you for being part of it. 💛

The lives you changed: Gianna 💛

When Gianna and her family first connected with Family Care Network, they knew something had to change. They didn’t know exactly what the path forward would look like, but they were ready to find it.

Through High Fidelity Wraparound, they found a team that believed in them, helped them identify solutions, and stayed beside them through challenges and victories alike.

Together, they built on Gianna’s strengths and the strengths of her entire family. And recently, that hard work was celebrated with balloons, Gianna’s favorite treats, and a simple but powerful message:

Look how far you’ve come.

That moment was made possible by the dedication of Gianna’s family and the team walking alongside them, but also by a community that believes families deserve the support and opportunity to thrive.

For Gianna and her family, graduation marked more than the completion of a program. It marked the beginning of a new chapter. One with stronger relationships, new skills, renewed hope, and the confidence to keep moving forward.

Read Gianna’s story (link in the comments) and discover the difference your compassion makes.

Getting a family into stable housing is a huge win, but it's not the finish line. The follow-through matters just as much.

This past month, you helped keep that momentum going in two simple but meaningful ways: an oil change that enabled a parent to get to work and appointments without worry, and activity kits that gave kids recently housed a chance to play and create--a small but important reminder that they get to be kids again.

It's easy to celebrate the big milestones, but we also want to acknowledge the small, steady support that keeps our families moving forward day after day.

💬 We'd love to hear from you: what's kept you moving forward during a season of change in your own life? Share in the comments.

Meet Skylar! 💛

We’re excited to welcome Skylar to our Development Team, where she’ll be helping strengthen the connections between our community, our supporters, and the mission we share.

In her own words:

“As I begin my new role on the Development Team, I’m excited to connect with our community in meaningful ways and help make a positive difference in the lives of our clients. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that through building relationships and inspiring support, I can play a part in improving the health and wellbeing of the people we serve.”

We’re so glad she’s here, and we hope you’ll be seeing a lot more of her in the months ahead. Welcome to the team, Skylar! 🎉

Today we're celebrating 39 Years of "Showing Up" for our Central Coast Community!🎉

Not because Family Care Network has existed for 39 years (although we have).

But because for 39 years, people in our community have chosen to show up for children, youth, adults, and families when they needed someone the most.

That's foster parents answering the call at 2am. Staff who kept showing up through the hard cases and the small victories. Property owners and county partners who opened doors. And donors--so many of you--who said yes, year after year.

39 years isn't really our anniversary. It's yours, too.

👏 If you've been part of showing up for FCNI over the years — as a staff member, foster parent, partner, or donor — we'd love for you to share this post and tell us what "showing up" has meant in your own journey with us.
