The colors in our logo carry meaning of their own.

Green represents life, healing, renewal, and continued growth. Silver represents strength, stability, wisdom, and professionalism.

Together, they reflect what A Better Boat brings to recovery: compassion supported by experience, hope supported by action, and encouragement supported by accountability.

Our logo tells one complete story:

A person stands again.
A sail provides direction.
A boat carries them forward.
A hand supports the journey.
A community surrounds them.

We cannot control every storm—but with faith, direction, and the strength of WE, we can build A Better Boat.

THE MEANING BEHIND OUR LOGO — PART 4: THE SUPPORTING HAND

Beneath the boat is a shape that can be seen as both a wave and a supporting hand.

That hand represents the people who help hold us up: family, coaches, peers, sponsors, treatment professionals, faith, and the recovery community.

The surrounding circle resembles protective arms wrapped around the entire journey. It carries a message at the heart of everything we do:

You are not alone anymore.

Recovery may be personal, but it was never meant to be traveled alone.

THE MEANING BEHIND OUR LOGO — PART 3: THE BOAT AND SAIL

The boat represents recovery: something strong enough to keep us afloat when life becomes rough.

The sail represents direction, purpose, and surrender. A sailor cannot control the wind—but they can adjust the sail.

Recovery teaches us the same lesson. We cannot control other people, erase the past, or guarantee an outcome. We can control our preparation, our actions, and the principles by which we live.

Plan the action, not the outcome.

We do not sail by feelings. We sail by principles.

THE MEANING BEHIND OUR LOGO — PART 2: THE PERSON

At the center of our logo stands a person with their arms raised.

They are not drowning. They are not hiding below deck. They are standing—alive, hopeful, and participating in their own recovery.

The raised arms represent freedom, surrender, gratitude, and victory. But the person is not being carried through recovery helplessly. They are learning to stand, take responsibility, and help guide their own journey.

We cannot recover for another person. We can stand beside them until they discover that they are capable of standing for themselves.

We cannot always control the wind, calm the waves, or prevent the storms that enter our lives.

But we can learn to navigate them differently.

That is the meaning behind A Better Boat. Recovery does not promise a life without hardship. It gives us the principles, relationships, direction, and support necessary to travel through hardship without being destroyed by it.

We may not be able to change the ocean—but together, we can build a better boat.
