Myrrh Arts and Medicine is a place where adornment and health are one, where creativity fuels wellness and the natural world is placed at our hearts center.

Myrrh offers handmade, ceremonial, lifestyle tools. What makes us human? We've dealt with this question for over a millenia. Bipedalism? Language? What is culture? How do we express it? Material culture, for me, began in painting, then migrated into ceramics...now, jewelry is my acquiescence of our innate lure as creators. Inspiration comes from our delight with adornment: bejeweling, facepaint, t

attooing. My creations explore our engagement with the physical world through the use of warm metals that age beautifully : gold, bronze, brass, and copper. Rough, conflict-free gems, found objects, vintage morsels, silk remnants, curious bones and recycled, non-toxic materials are also featured. The percieved importance of our material heritage was expressed in 1976 by a UNESCO panel that claimed, "cultural property is a basic element of people's identity and 'being depends on having' (Rowlands, 2002:127)". artifacts and social relations. /// Nothing goes to waste. alchemists and healers. /// Eclectic.
