A GALE-enabled kiosk is one way to create that access point. It provides a private setting for virtual visits and connected diagnostic exams, while clinicians participate from elsewhere.

As states implement Rural Health Transformation plans, the physical format should follow the community and the care workflow. In some locations, that may be a fixed kiosk. In others, a private room, compact cart or portable kit may make more sense.

The goal is not to purchase a particular enclosure. It is to create a dependable local connection to care without recreating a fully staffed clinic at every site.

🌍 Connecting Communities for Education: Expanding Knowledge Across the Care Continuum

to six months of continued learning through the Guyana National Telemedicine Program.

From maternal and newborn care, HIV and hepatitis B, to autism, diabetes, polio, telemedicine practice, and more, the March–August Team Meetings connected Community Health Workers and point-of-care teams with specialists across a wide range of healthcare needs. The 19Labs team also used these sessions to share GALE updates and practical workflow guidance.

For healthcare workers serving Guyana’s hinterland communities, that means regular access to people and information that can support the care they provide locally. GALE helps make those connections possible through the same telemedicine infrastructure already serving their communities.
