In 1973, at Penn State University, I attended one of the first women’s studies classes in the world. Dr. Susan Snyder, my professor, changed my life forever. As did, Gloria Steinem. The idea of equality/equanimity empowered me to stand upright, ask questions, seek answers and solutions, do it on my own terms-in my own time, make my own money, live true to my values, raise my kids and family with feminist values, as Gloria defined: “A feminist is anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men.” I am honored and deeply thankful to have had a brief conversation expressing my gratitude and love - 2/21/2019, EO sponsored Women’s Lit.
