My gratitude for all of you who join me for The IVF Class is overflowing! It's always so sweet to read the heartfelt experience of someone who recently attended one of our calls. I love sharing everything I know about IVF with fertility patients, no matter where they are or who their doctor is.

Here is what ivfawareness (on Instagram) shared recently:

"Just did the IVF Class with The Egg Whisperer, and it was amazing! There is so much information, and you can ask questions, and it's great even for people who have done several rounds of IVF! I highly recommend it even if you have a doc you are working with. I wish she was my doctor. She is the best!"

Thank you so much for sharing these kind words. I am touched by your sentiments, and it's my sincere wish to continue being a source of support, knowledge, and compassion for each of you. I know how important it is to learn as much as you can on your fertility "odyssey," get your hard questions answered, and uplift one another through the challenges.

To everyone considering joining The IVF Class, you are warmly welcomed with open arms. It has been so wonderful to see how this community understands, supports, and empowers each other - and how that sparkles and shines through in each of our classes.

Together, we're on a journey of hope and resilience, and I hope you'll join me on Monday, June 15th for the next call to get to experience a little bit of the magic of this community for yourself.

06/05/2026

When Heidi Murkoff sent her book proposal for What To Expect When You’re Expecting, she was two hours away from going into labor with her daughter Emma.

She had no idea if anyone would buy it, but in that moment she said she felt like a mom on a mission. When I sat down to talk with her, Heidi put it so simply:

“I pretty much thought if a handful of parents slept better at night than Erik and I had that I would have accomplished what I set out to do.”

You know I like to talk about the importance of having a squad behind you that understands what you’re going through. Having people you can consult, ask questions about their experience and being able to relate it to your own experience is so valuable and can help keep you sane.

I also know that sometimes it can feel hard to find your people. You might feel like your immediate family and circle of friends don’t quite get what you’re going through, and it’s hard to talk to them about it.

I love the fact that the core of all of Heidi’s “What To Expect” books is helping people through fertility, pregnancy and beyond by giving them an anchor point that they can return to whenever they feel unsure or have a question.

If you can’t find your squad in the people around you, it’s ok. You can still find your squad by finding books, blogs and online communities that help you stay grounded and give you a place to go with your questions.

When we were diving further into her motivation for her books, Heidi said “What keeps me going, what motivates me and what inspires me is helping moms and dads through this experience and answering the questions they have that for me went unanswered.”

I can’t think of anything more caring and community-oriented than that! And that’s exactly what your support system is for. So, if you’re feeling a little isolated or alone on your journey, don’t despair.

There are people out there who you don’t even know, yet who care about you and what you’re experiencing, and they’re creating spaces for you to find answers and connection.

06/04/2026

When Shannon Willardson came to me as a fertility patient, she was already a mother to three beautiful kids - two daughters and a son. But, she and her husband, Chase, still had a strong feeling that their family still had growing to do. As she said in one of her recent social media posts, “...we kept pursuing expanding our family because of the overwhelming feeling we had that there were more little spirits who were meant to join us.”

And oh my goodness, were they right! Through an amazing surrogate, Shannon and Chase welcomed home not one but TWO new family members: their twinnies, Ruby and Jane.

But if you think they just decided one morning to grow their family via surrogacy, and it worked out perfectly, think again. They didn’t come to surrogacy until after 9 egg retrievals and 3 failed transfers. It was a long road, but Shannon’s belief that she still had love to give to members of her family that she hadn’t met yet got her through it all.

And, the icing on the cake? She and her surrogate became great friends. Shannon’s kids call her Aunt Jess❤️

Shannon, it was such an honor helping you complete your family, and even more so in getting to guide you through the miracle of surrogacy. Your words mean the world to me! And your fertility story is such a testament to the power of belief.

When you know in your heart that there is something you’re meant to do, and you follow that pull, it doesn’t always happen exactly the way you thought it would. It might not happen right away, or look at all the way you imagined it. But if you can keep following that pull through every setback and piece of difficult news, you can find a way to make your dreams come true.

That’s exactly what I’m here to help you do.

It’s why I tell my patients “You’ll become a mother one way or another.” There are options available to you that you may not have even considered, but they might be what gets you to the “finish line.”

So, hold on, keep your belief strong, and trust that tug on your heartstrings - they’re leading you the right way. And if you need help along the way, schedule a consultation here, and we’ll find your path forward together: https://www.draimee.org/schedule-a-consultation

I am so excited to have Dr. Stephanie Fein joining me today on The Egg Whisperer Show podcast. We’re going to talk about a topic that can be quite sensitive. It’s about optimizing your fertility through weight loss. There’s no better person to talk about this today than Stephanie. She earned her medical degree from UC Irvine, completed her internal medicine residency at UCLA where she also received a master’s in public health.

She’s passionate about weight loss and motherhood and loves to help women optimize their fertility through weight loss. She’s sharing her philosophy and perspective on weight loss and fertility, which is to make it guilt-free, deprivation-free, and frustration-free. She is also sharing how weight, insulin and inflammation have an impact on your hormones when you are trying to conceive, and we talk about the connection between IVF success rates and weight loss.

I hope you’ll tune in for this insightful and science based discussion about weight loss and fertility.

At-home insemination offers an option to many who are looking to grow their family💛

For some families, it can be a more accessible and less invasive option to explore on the path to parenthood.

Here are a few of the things to know, as shared by Mauren Brown of Mosie Baby on the podcast (and you can swipe through the images to listen to her explain this too)

✨Some people choose to try at-home insemination before moving to more invasive fertility procedures

✨It can support many paths to parenthood, including LGBTQ+ families, solo parents by choice, and those navigating vaginismus

✨Timing matters: understanding your ovulation window can help improve your chances of conception

As Maureen shares:
“No matter how your baby is made: it’s made with love.”

Every fertility journey is different, and there’s no one right way to grow a family.🤍

I’ve yet to meet someone that dreamed of the day they could become my patient.

You may fantasize about your next vacation destination, or the day you buy a house, or seeing your future child graduate from high school. But I’m guessing that when you think of those milestones in life, nowhere in that world are you thinking about me — a fertility doctor?

It’s just not happening.

And here’s the thing — while I love my patients and have been known to tell a good joke or two, it’s my honest hope that I never have to meet you.

That’s because deep down, I want to PREVENT infertility. My job as a doctor is to do my best to ensure I educate you enough that many of you will never need to visit me.

Of course, many of you may become my patients, and I truly do love the work I get to do.

Today on the podcast, I’m making the bold move to outline how you can go about not becoming my patient. If you follow Patagonia clothing company, they have ads that say, “Don’t Buy This Shirt.” They are a company that’s about sustainability. They don’t want you to buy another shirt. Well, I guess I’m the Patagonia of fertility medicine. I don’t want you to need my services.

What's the one thing Sherri McDonald Sawyerr wishes she had known sooner on her donor egg IVF journey?

Love the donor you choose.

In this clip from our full interview on The Egg Whisperer Show, Sherri shares the beautiful advice that changed everything for her: that choosing a donor isn't just a medical decision, it's an emotional one. When you find a donor you truly connect with, the whole process feels different.

Sherri also opens up about the mixed emotions that come with donor egg IVF - the excitement, the hope, and yes, even some grief, and why processing those feelings before you choose your donor makes all the difference.

Her story is a reminder that there are so many paths to motherhood, and each one is worthy and full of love.

Watch the full episode to hear Sherri's complete journey, including how she welcomed her daughter Ella and wrote the children's book Love Grew Me to celebrate their story.

Today on The Egg Whisperer Show podcast, I'm talking about the truth about fertility drugs.

If you’re a patient of mine, you’ve probably heard me talk about pharmgina, vagaseltzer, smurfgina and more.

Most fertility treatment hinges on the strategic use of drugs to help the body be as fertile as possible. My goal is to give each of my patients a personalized fertility plan with custom calendars of what to do, which drug to take, and when.

Today on the podcast, I’m walking through fertility calendars (keeping things confidential, of course) and talking about the drugs I commonly use to give my patients the best chance at fertility success.

Even though you will probably find yourself laughing during the show, these drugs shouldn’t be taken lightly. They can be hard pills to swallow.

I will talk about common and not so common side effects as well as my pro tips and tricks that I use to guide my patients during treatment.
