Chris Allen Grayson entered his heavenly home on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by love. He was 58 years old. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A funeral service celebrating Chris’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, at Angus Church with Pastor Rusty Gunn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family present to greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Chris was born on August 15, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Michael Clark Grayson and Glenda Pearl (Groover) Grayson. He grew up in Sand Springs and graduated from Charles Page High School with the Class of 1985. Honoring one of Chris’s final requests, Bob Seger’s “Roll Me Away” will be played as his final song while his casket is carried away following the service. Chris loved the fitting symbolism of the song and often joked that they would quite literally be “rolling him away” at the end of the service.

If you knew Chris, you knew conversations rarely stayed short. A simple question often turned into an adventure filled with colorful details, side roads, and plenty of laughs. He loved teasing his kids and giving friends and family a hard time. More often than not, if Chris was joking with you, it was his way of letting you know you were loved.

Chris enjoyed upholstery work (proud owner of Red Bone Upholstery) and had a lifelong love of hot rods, classic cars, camping, fishing, and the outdoors. Classic rock and roll was always part of the journey, and few artists held a place in his heart like Bob Seger. Whether he was cruising the streets, working in the shop, or hanging out at the lake, Seger’s music was often close at hand. Chris also considered himself a skilled fisherman, though some might have questioned whether he ever actually caught a fish. He loved spending time at the lake and once owned a houseboat at Keystone Lake. One of his final wishes was to go camping one more time, reflecting his appreciation for God’s creation and the peace he found outdoors.

Chris and the love of his life, Sherry, first knew each other in high school. Life took them in different directions, but through their children, they found their way back to one another. They spent the last 20 years building a beautiful life together and were married on May 6, 2022, at The Church That Matters. After nearly two decades together, they finally made it official, proving that while Chris may have taken the scenic route, he always got where he was supposed to be. Together they enjoyed road trips, especially to Branson, attending church, visiting car shows, and simply spending time together.

Anyone who knew Chris knew how much he loved his mom. Glenda aka “Pearl” was one of the most important people in his life and had been his biggest supporter from the very beginning. Through every season of life, she stood beside him with unwavering love, encouragement, grace, and faith in him. They spent countless hours together, shared daily conversations, and built a bond that only grew stronger over the years. Few mothers and sons were as close as Chris and Glenda.

A devoted member of The Church That Matters, Chris faithfully served as a door greeter. Although “serving” sometimes turned into visiting with friends and catching up on life, he never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome. He was also active in the men’s group and cherished the friendships he made there.

Chris worked as a manager for Warehouse Market before beginning his career at Sheffield Steel until they closed in 2009. At Sheffield, he had the privilege of working alongside both of his parents, Mike and Glenda, creating memories and friendships that lasted a lifetime. He later retired from Webco Industries. Wherever he worked, he brought laughter, conversation, and plenty of personality.

Those who loved Chris will remember him as goofy, funny, always pulling pranks, and completely unforgettable. He had a knack for keeping people laughing and was always looking for a way to surprise someone with a joke or a bit of harmless mischief.

Chris wore hats everywhere he went. They were rarely fashionable and sometimes downright goofy, including memorable favorites like a hat with a rabbit popping out of it. That never bothered him one bit. He dressed how he wanted, cared little about what anyone thought, and wore every hat with confidence and a grin. He always seemed to have another joke or surprise ready and could turn an ordinary day into an adventure. Beneath all the playful mischief was a man with a tremendously kind heart. His compassion ran deep, and he genuinely cared about people.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry Grayson; his mother, Glenda Grayson; his children: Christine Rosander, Danielle Chance and husband Brandon, and Dominick Shea; stepchildren: Ronnie Sharp, Ashley Mashburn, and Justin Dobson and wife Erin; bonus daughter, Katrina Walling; 16 grandchildren and junior; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Klahr and husband Shawn; niece, Kelsi Geiger and fiancé Chris Mizell; nephew, Brandon Geiger and wife Makayla; along with many other relatives, friends, church family members, and fellow storytellers who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Grayson, who preceded him in death by just six weeks, along with many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who welcomed him home.

If there was one thing Chris taught us, it was that life is better with family, friends, a good story, a good laugh, and a little Bob Seger playing in the background.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Chris is finally at peace. We like to imagine him cruising the streets of heaven in a hot rod, a fishing pole resting shotgun, Bob Seger playing softly on the radio, and a contented smile on his face. No doubt he has already reunited with old friends and family, especially his dad, Mike.

Knowing Mike, he probably spent those six weeks exploring every hot rod show, admiring classic cars, and finding the best roads to cruise. We can picture him waiting for Chris with a grin, eager to show him around. Together again, they’re likely talking cars, sharing stories, laughing, and picking up right where they left off.

Chris’s life reminds us to laugh often, love deeply, spend time with family, and never pass up an opportunity to share a good story.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Dwaine Douglas Hand, Jr. entered his heavenly home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 50. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A funeral service celebrating Dwaine's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, in the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service with Pastor Frank Lima officiating. Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Dwaine was born on April 17, 1976, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, to Dwaine Douglas Hand, Sr. and Donna Kay (Hickey) Hand. He grew up west of Sand Springs, spending his childhood outdoors and exploring the woods he loved so much. He attended Heritage Baptist School north of Cleveland and graduated with the Class of 1994.

A standout athlete, Dwaine was known as the "Basketball King" during his school years. It was through one of his rival schools that he met the love of his life, Shannon Irene Carroll Grisham. Their high school romance grew into a lifelong love story, and they were married on May 27, 1995, at Fisher Church in Sand Springs. For more than 31 years, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and countless memories. Shannon was not only his wife but truly his best friend.

While Dwaine dabbled in pipe fitting early in his career, his true passion was carpentry. Building and creating with his hands brought him great satisfaction. He spent many years constructing new homes, additions, and home repairs, taking pride in every project he completed. He was a hardworking craftsman who believed in doing things the right way, and he especially enjoyed the time he spent working alongside his dad.

Dwaine was a kind-hearted, polite, and friendly man who made people feel welcome and valued. He never sought the spotlight and was happiest spending time at home with his family. Though he enjoyed sharing a laugh and had a playful sense of humor, his greatest joy came from simple moments with those he loved most. Beneath his rugged exterior was a gentle soul with a big heart.

He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, Thunder basketball, football, and just about any sport he could watch. He was an avid OU fan, and loved playing video games, listening to podcasts, and was a faithful fan of Pat McAfee and Joe Rogan. Music was another passion in his life, and he appreciated all types of music. Whether relaxing at home, watching a race, casting a line, or spending time with family, Dwaine found happiness in life's simple pleasures.

Above all else, Dwaine loved his family. He was a devoted husband and father. Becoming a grandfather brought him a special kind of joy. His eyes would light up whenever Bristol, Ryleigh, Mia, and Oliver were around, and they adored their Papa just as much as he adored them. Some of his most treasured moments were spent making memories with his grandchildren.

Dwaine was also a devoted animal lover and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Poppy, who will miss him dearly.

Though his passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his family takes comfort in the memories he leaves behind. Dwaine was a wonderful husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, loving son, and loyal friend. He will be remembered for his kindness, his hardworking spirit, his love for family, and the steady presence he provided to those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Hand; his father, Dwaine Douglas "Doug" Hand, Sr. and wife, Pamela; his children: Macayla Miller and husband, Dominic, and Jordan Hand and wife, Sarah; his cherished grandchildren: Bristol, Ryleigh, Mia, and Oliver; his father- and mother-in-law, Randy and Becky Grisham; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Dwaine was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Kay Hand.

His family finds comfort in knowing that while he is no longer here with them, the love, lessons, and memories he shared will remain in their hearts forever.
