Our annual 1st Grade Field trip was a huge success. A very special thank you to Candice & Ron Miller with RoCan Horse Farm for joining us today (as they have each year). We had some great students learning some of the things we do each day. They were able to join Dr. Stephen and Hannah in surgery to suture some teddy bear lacerations. Dr. Elaine demonstrated the importance of heartworm and flea/tick prevention with annual vaccines…with help from the very cute Finn. Macy showed them some various x-rays from broken bones to bladder stones. They were able to have a snack and color while Somer asked about their pets at home. Candice & Ron taught them how to care for piglets and goats…even showed them how to milk some of the goats. And Nichole helped take plenty of pictures and questioned everyone about what they learned today.
