Our dear friends at Mountain View Family Medicine are closing and today was their last day seeing patients after well over 2 decades serving this community. They are now going to empty the office of all the things that have been collected over the years of service and have asked me to pass this announcement along in case any of our clients have need of something they have there. They are especially hoping to find folks with medical needs that could use supplies or equipment. Here is the announcement of the yard sale they will be having coming up. Please pass it along.

There have been several parents asking about a parent group. What needs do you think should be addressed in a parent group? What times work best morning, noon, afternoon, evening ...be specific. What days work best T-Th? Now mind you this is just putting the idea out there. We are not committing to anything yet but are thinking about giving it a try. We would likely do a short term one with a committed group of parents that could be consistent. But, if you got access to all 3 of us for an hour or 2 depending on whether I can get it funded, is anyone interested?

I've suggested a mirror for toileting for some clients but this is an option I haven't seen before that seems like it might work well. Motor control can be difficult and being able to see what is happening really helps accomplish the job.
