💙 Happy Respiratory Care Week!

This week, we’re celebrating our entire Respiratory Therapy team and the compassionate care they provide to our patients and families. A patient recently submitted this kudos to thank our outstanding RT team:

"I would like to recognize the Respiratory Therapy team for the exceptional compassion and care they showed my husband and me during a very difficult time. My husband has been facing some challenging health concerns this year, and the uncertainty surrounding his condition was frightening for both of us. Throughout this process, Travis, Amanda, and Jaime treated us like family rather than just another patient coming through the hospital.

All three of them took the time to explain what they could about the tests, answer questions, and ensure my husband felt comfortable throughout the process. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine concern helped us navigate a period filled with uncertainty and anxiety. I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Bonner General Health family and thankful to know that the Cardiopulmonary team is made up of people like Travis, Amanda, and Jaime. Their compassion and dedication exemplify the very best of patient care, and their kindness made a lasting impact on both of us."

Congratulations to our October Employee of the Month, Alexandra Lesniewski! 💙

Alexandra, a nurse in our Immediate Care Clinic, was nominated by a patient who was visiting from Canada and unexpectedly needed medical care while on vacation with family. In their nomination, they praised Alexandra’s kindness, compassion, and professionalism, sharing how she explained everything clearly, answered questions, and helped make a stressful situation much easier.

Alexandra previously worked as a CNA in Acute Care and recently completed school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She plans to return to school to become a Registered Nurse (RN) after gaining more experience. We’re excited to see her continue growing in her nursing career!

Thank you, Alexandra, for going above and beyond to care for our patients and making them feel heard, supported, and cared for, even when they’re far from home. We’re grateful to have you on our team! 👏💙

And a special shoutout to our amazing mammography techs for providing compassionate care and helping our patients feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. 💕

The FDA mandates that all insurance companies cover a yearly screening mammogram for all women 40 years or older. Screening mammograms are considered preventative medicine and, therefore, are no cost to the patient as long as the mammogram meets screening criteria. Family or personal history of breast cancer can qualify a patient to start screening earlier than 40 years of age. Please ask your healthcare provider about when you should start screening mammograms. Please call BGH Mammography Scheduling (208.265.3349), and we can help get you scheduled as quickly as your insurance will allow while still being covered as a screening exam.
