McKenzie Health System Hospital Campus is a Level IV Trauma Center and is HFAP Stroke Certified. We provide emergency care, inpatient care, and outpatient services. McKenzie Health System's acute care (inpatient) unit can accommodate 25 patients that require daily nursing care following an illness, surgery or visit to the Emergency Room (ER).The ER is open 24/7/365, Main Entrance open 6am-11pm. Ou

tpatient Clinic open 7am-5pm.The swing bed program at is a federally approved program enabling small, rural hospitals to provide 24-hour skilled nursing care. The swing bed program allows for patients to transition or & ;swing& ; from an acute level of care to a skilled nursing or rehabilitation level of care.We are staffed with an elite group of physicians who are onsite 24/7 to provide Emergency Care as well as inpatient care. The Outpatient Department at McKenzie Health System works with patients and providers to schedule and prepare patients for various services.

McKenzie Health System’s main hospital campus and the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility will be participating in a joint mock disaster drill today, Tuesday, June 2nd. The drill will be held this morning and should conclude by 9:45 a.m. The mock drill scenario is based on an active shooter/violent intruder.

Local Police will be participating in the mock drill this morning at the hospital and nursing home in Sandusky. This is a mock disaster drill.

Participating in mock disaster drills like this allows us to remain in a state of readiness to meet the health care challenges during potential future disasters.
