Our Summer Fair was packed with old fashioned fun, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles! Our community enjoyed sipping on lemonade, fair games and a few laughs from our very own clown.🤡 🎪🤹‍♂️🎠

The real excitement came when our residents put on their judging hats and checked out some amazing homemade quilts, canned goods, and baked goods. 🧵🍿🎡 A big thank you to everyone who helped make our Fair such a fun and memorable day!

Our memory care residents have been putting their green thumbs to work this season! 🍅🌱

Activity Coordinator Chloe recently harvested our first crop of tomatoes with residents, sparking conversations about favorite dishes, garden traditions, and what to do with our bumper crop! From sharing recipes to debating the best way to enjoy them, the garden has given us plenty to talk about.

Here’s to fresh harvests, good stories, and making the most of what we grow!

It’s Garden Season at Elliott Nursing & Rehab! 💙🌽

Our residents enjoyed a little taste of summer as they spent the afternoon shucking fresh local Honey Select Corn! The activity brought back plenty of memories and stories about preparing corn years ago, favorite varieties, and the joy of enjoying a fresh ear of corn “off the cob.”

One of the best comments of the day? “I’ll shuck one ear, but I’ve done enough of this to suit me!” 😂

We love creating opportunities for our residents to share their stories, revisit cherished memories, and enjoy the simple moments that bring everyone together.

Penny for Your Thoughts! 🪙💙

Our memory care residents at Elliott recently took a trip down memory lane with a fun vintage penny activity! Residents searched through a collection of wheat pennies to see who could find the oldest coin—and Ms. Mary won with a 1930 Wheat Penny!

The pennies were grouped by decade, sparking conversations and memories from years gone by. Some were even surprised to learn that the penny is no longer being produced and that it can cost more than one cent to make!

Everyone got to keep a penny for good luck—and a little piece of history to remember the day by.

There’s nothing better than seeing our local seniors smile! 💙❤️

Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation was honored to donate Bingo prizes to the Elliott Senior Center as a small way of giving back to the wonderful people who have given so much to our community. We are grateful for every opportunity to support the programs that bring joy, friendship, and laughter to our seniors!

Shark Week surfaced in our community, and one very mischievous shark was spotted looking for fun! 🦈💙

Our residents wasted no time grabbing their sq**rt guns and launching a full-scale Shark Hunt! After plenty of sneak attacks, laughter, and teamwork, the shark was officially soaked into submission! 🔫

To celebrate the victory, we wrapped up the week with a Shark Week Party complete with delicious treats and "Jawsome" Shark Attack floats. It was a fintastic week filled with laughter and unforgettable memories!

We recently experienced a truly heartwarming reunion at Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation! ❤️

We were honored to welcome members of the Olive Hill "Golden Hour" Senior Citizens, who surprised their dear friend, Doretta Webb, with a special visit. Seeing Doretta reunited with familiar faces, warm hugs, and cherished friendships filled our community with so much joy!

Moments like these remind us of the lasting power of friendship and the importance of staying connected with those who mean the most. Thank you to the Olive Hill Golden Hour Senior Citizens for making Doretta's day so memorable. Your kindness and thoughtfulness created a moment that will be treasured for years to come. 💙
