This is my mom and for the first 18 years of my life…. I didn’t understand the difference between my mom fighting with me & my mom fighting for me..
As you go through life you don’t realize how much is really going on behind the scenes.
I failed out at my first high school….after that I gave up on myself….but my mom never gave up on me. As the first day of school approaches all of us it brings me back…….to me the first day of school was always the scariest day of my life.
My mom always looked at it as another chance to change my life. Every year……
New backpack.
New binders to keep me organize.
New pens and pencils perfectly sharpened.
Everything was labeled.
New agenda.
✅ Your mom is not worrying about you your mom is worrying for you.
✅ Your mom isn’t fighting with you your mom is fighting for you.
✅ Your mom isn’t annoying you your mom is believing in you.
My mom would fill my backpack up every morning. I would dump it all out. I would bring nothing to school, but my Walkman with the Linkin Park CD in it.
I thought this was annoying ….. I thought my mom was fighting with me…… I thought my mom was too overprotective and involved.
I thought my mom was trying to ruin my life.
✅ I graduated high school with a 1.7 GPA.
My mom made me apply every college she could think of…. Even though I didn’t have the grades….and the lowest test scores my mom still believed.
Your mom will always believe no matter what. That’s a gift.
My mom begged every college to give me a chance…. Almost everyone said NO…..But my mom didn’t stop until she got a Yes.
1 gave me a chance.
My mom got me the 1 chance that saved my life.
Your mom will do the same.
I’m 33 I realized my mom was not trying to ruin my life my mom was trying to save my life.
It worked. It will work for you trust me.
Right now I want you to remember this I promise you will look back just like I do.
You will realize your mom not giving up on you is the reason you fully never gave up on yourself.
