Did you know that Eric Church is part of the T1D family? 💙

During his commencement address for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Class of 2026, Eric spoke about the importance of family. He became an advocate for research and awareness of type 1 diabetes after his mother, Rita Church, was diagnosed with the condition in her 50s. Thank you, Eric, for your inspiring speech, beautiful music, and continued support of families impacted by diabetes around the country.

Our team is excited to watch him perform live at the California Mid-State Fair this summer!

That's right! Last weekend at the Breakthrough T1D Santa Barbara Community Summit, we surpassed 200 individuals screened for type 1 diabetes since the start of the new year through our Screen & Support Program. This is a huge milestone for SDRI, and we are thrilled to continue to be a leader in screening efforts throughout our community.
