You only need look outside to see the degree to which air quality has been affected. Santa Barbara and Goleta air-quality is currently classified as HAZARDOUS, so if you have any respiratory issues stay inside! No one should go outside without an N95 rated mask. Every time a certain ingredient or nutritional formula is popularized, there will undoubtedly be supplement manufacturers that look to turn a profit on it. Bone broth has been used for much of human history and has numerous health benefits. It has recently become popular in the form of a dehydrated powder supplement. However, all supplements are not created equal and those you can purchase at your local health food store are rarely subjected to high quality control standards, and certainly do not undergo in house laboratory testing. The findings linked below are a great example of why I discourage patients from taking supplements that are not made by companies maintaining the highest quality control standards.

The non-profit Consumer Wellness Center has completed testing of eight popular bone broth and bone broth protein products to determine the possible presence of chemical pesticides, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals, toxicological chemicals and food additive chemicals.
