“About 20 years ago my father-in-law was in end-of-life situation and was put on hospice. I saw the incredible hospice nurses take care of him in such a patient way.

When I heard about the hospice volunteer training, it sounded like it was right up my alley. I’ve always been interested in history, meeting hospice patients and hearing their life stories is a great way to learn history from people that lived it before us.”

Phil started volunteering with VNA Health over 20 years ago doing patient care and has most recently moved to working in the Loan Closet and delivery DME to the community.
