We often wonder what life will be like after we are sober but it can also pose questions for our friends. Here's a blog piece we found about whether to bring alcohol to a hosted dinner party when they don't drink....maybe it's a good idea as the host to be proactive and let folks know if it's okay if they bring alcohol or not. If you are newer to being sober, it can be a good idea to let them know ahead of time that you won't be serving alcohol as well. True friends understand and will be fine with it, even if it isn't what they normally do.

If the host of your next dinner party doesn't partake, is it rude to bring your own bottle? Adam weighs in.

With the holidays approaching, those of us in recovery can use this simple reminder to use self-care and take care of our basic needs every day. Paying closer needs when you might be around trigger moments with family, friends and just the pressures of the season can prevent relapse. We can remember to eat healthy when hungry, say 'no' when we are tired, walk away when we are angry, or seek the help of a friend when lonely.
