CARF International accreditation is one way a community chooses to be held accountable at a higher level. 💫

For more than 20 years, this process has helped our community measure itself against roughly 1,600 standards, reviewed by an objective third party. That outside perspective matters because it looks beyond what we think we are doing well and helps identify where we can keep improving.

It may not always be easy to explain, but the reason behind it is simple: residents and families deserve a community committed to excellence, transparency, and continued growth.

She spoke about the joy of sharing life with someone who understands you, encourages you, and stays by your side through the ups and downs. After 53 years of marriage, the love and friendship she shared with her husband still shine through every story she tells!

Maravilla had the great honor of celebrating the Class of 2026! 🎓

On June 4th, we gathered for a special dinner recognizing 13 high school graduates and 1 college graduate from our team, alongside the parents and families who helped them reach this milestone.

Their hard work and dedication deserve to be celebrated, and so do the loved ones who supported them along the way. We are proud to have these outstanding young people as part of the Maravilla team and cannot wait to see what they do next.

Bocce Ball on the Green started with a few residents unsure about what it was... 🤾‍♂️

They picked Wednesday evenings and invited others to give it a try! That first night, 12 residents showed up, many playing bocce for the first time. By the end of the evening, they had a champion, a few new fans, and the beginning of something that already felt worth repeating.

The next week, even more residents joined in, and extra chairs had to be brought out.

That's what makes this so special. Maravilla residents don't wait for something to appear on the calendar: They have an idea, gather people around it, and turn it into a community. Bocce Ball on the Green is already becoming a tradition of its own!

A shared love of hiking brought two generations together at Lake Los Carneros!

Dos Pueblos High School Hike Club President Kellan Cotter reached out after hearing about our Maravilla Hike Club through his grandfather, who is one of our hikers. Six high school members and nine Maravilla residents met for a morning on the trail, talking about the outdoors, school, careers, and what life looked like then and now.

The connections came easily. Four former teachers encouraged a student interested in education, a resident with a master’s in film studies connected with a student planning the same path, and two hikers even shared birthday celebrations, one turning 84 and one turning 17!

Summer break is coming, but this was not a one-time walk. Another joint hike is already being planned for the fall!

Maravilla Takes a Hike! ⬇️

Our hiking club is at it again. Maravilla residents enjoyed a nice hike and landed at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, where they explored the museum’s impressive chalk art displays. With beautiful artwork and plenty of fresh air, it was a wonderful way to spend the day! ⛰️
