There's a specific kind of tired that comes from managing someone else's moods all day. You monitor your tone. You time your requests. You soften everything before it leaves your mouth. And still, it's never quite enough.
That exhaustion is trying to tell you something. Love can ask a lot of you, but it should never require you to disappear to keep it calm.
You're allowed to want a relationship where peace is the baseline, not the reward for good behavior.
