The average adult has approximately 600–800 lymph nodes throughout the body! These tiny, bean-shaped structures play a vital role in both your lymphatic and immune systems.

📍Here’s where many of them are located:

💙 Neck (cervical): Around 200–300 lymph nodes
💙 Armpits (axillary): About 20–40 lymph nodes in each armpit
💙 Groin (inguinal): About 10–20 lymph nodes in each groin
💙 Chest (mediastinal): Dozens of lymph nodes
💙 Abdomen & pelvis (mesenteric, para-aortic, iliac, and others): Hundreds of lymph nodes

💡 Fun Fact:
Although they’re often called “glands,” lymph nodes aren’t actually glands! They’re specialized organs that filter lymph fluid, trap bacteria, viruses, and abnormal cells, and help activate your body’s immune response.
