Why I Chose to Build a Different Kind of Menopause Practice
After many years working in healthcare, I realized something that weighed heavily on me: too many women were leaving medical appointments feeling unheard, rushed, or unsure of what was happening to their bodies.
Menopause is a significant transition, yet many women are expected to discuss months—or even years—of symptoms in a brief office visit. It's no wonder so many leave with unanswered questions.
That's one of the reasons I chose to create my own practice.
I wanted to build a practice where women have the time to tell their story, ask questions, understand their options, and participate in decisions about their care. Whether we discuss hormone therapy, non-hormonal treatments, lifestyle changes, or simply what to expect during perimenopause and menopause, my goal is always the same: to provide evidence-based care with kindness, respect, and compassion.
Telemedicine has made it possible for me to offer that kind of care to women throughout New Mexico. You don't have to spend hours driving to receive personalized menopause care. Instead, we can meet from the comfort of your home while still taking the time to have the thoughtful conversation you deserve.
If you've ever felt dismissed or wondered whether there should be a better way to navigate menopause, I wrote this blog for you.
