Every hot air balloon makes our sky even more beautiful. Every person showing up as their unique self makes our communities better.

We don’t have to fully understand all the things that make each other different in order to lift each other up and have each other's backs.

Love means that whether we are with our friends, partner, family, or community, we should all feel respected and safe to be ourselves.

It’s Staff Retreat Day at Solace! We are spending the day at the gorgeous El Rancho de las Golondrinas. We are working with Pat Cox, owner of Blue Sky Strategies, who is helping the staff develop creative strategic solutions for outreach, fundraising, increasing need of our services, and the addition of a Solace facility on the property. After the session, we will enjoy a great lunch and then look forward to hiking around the stunning property. Thank you El Rancho de Las Golondrinas for hosting this important, staff event. We are so appreciative. 🙏❤️ 🌿🍁 *xualassualtservices

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month, Solace wants to remind everyone that we can help end domestic violence by coming together as a community.

Let’s stand with survivors, listen without judgment, and help connect anyone who needs support with resources. In Santa Fe, Esperanza Shelter offers support and resources for people experiencing domestic violence.

Together, we can build a community rooted in safety, compassion, and hope. 💜

Consent is an important part of all our relationships, but that doesn’t mean it always needs to be a big conversation.

We already ask for consent all the time with simple questions like “Is it okay if I borrow your pen?” or “Can I sit with you at lunch?”

You can keep practicing consent by being curious about how other people are feeling and making a point to ask.

The more we check in with each other during small everyday situations, the more confident we will be talking about consent in all areas of our lives!

Image Description: Bold text reads “Consent doesn’t have to be complicated" over a picture of calculus notes written on graph paper. The website ItStartsWithUsNM.org and the hashtag appear in a dark banner at the top of the graphic.
