There is a moment in many yoga classes when a prop appears, and something in us resists.

The block. The wall. The chair. The strap.

Maybe we think it means we are doing less, or that everyone else has somehow moved ahead.
Then one day the prop changes everything. The floor feels closer. The breath has more room. The pose becomes less about reaching and more about understanding.

That is the beauty of good support. It does not make the practice smaller. It makes the practice more authentic.

Curious to know... which prop did you resist at first, and now secretly love?

The part of yoga we rarely talk about: Yoga becomes more useful when we stop treating it as an empty mind and start relating to it as a gentle return. Noticing distraction and returning is the practice, not evidence that it failed. Take one conscious breath.

There is usually a moment before teacher training when the question becomes hard to ignore.

Maybe you have been practising for years and want to understand what is really happening beneath the sequence. Maybe you already teach, but feel ready for more depth, more confidence, more language. Or maybe something in you simply knows it is time to study in a more intentional way.

That is why the path can look different.

200 hours to build the foundation.
300 hours to refine and deepen.
500 hours for the full immersive journey.

In Bali, our curated Yoga Alliance-certified trainings bring together practice, anatomy, philosophy, breathwork, meditation, teaching methodology, and integration, with time to live inside the study, not just complete it.

Some of the most meaningful yoga progress never makes it into a photo.

It's the moment you ask for another option instead of forcing your way through. The day you reach for a block, a wall, or a chair and realise support is part of the practice. The week you miss a few days and return without turning it into a personal failure.

Those shifts may look small from the outside, but they change the relationship you have with your body.

So tell us: what has changed in your practice that a photo would never show?

The part of practice we keep coming back to lately is that the pace of your practice has to be livable.

Some days, energy is there. Other days, the body is asking for something quieter, slower, more forgiving. Both can belong to the same practice.

There is a kind of consistency that comes from listening well. You begin to know when to build heat, when to rest, when to stay a little longer, and when to let the practice be simple enough to return to tomorrow.

Sustainable effort feels like trust. In your body. In your rhythm. In the life you are actually living.

What pace has been feeling authentic for you lately?

Some teachers spend years refining the way they guide a single pose.

The words change. The timing changes. The understanding deepens. What began as a posture becomes something more personal: a way of helping students feel safer, steadier, stronger, or more at home in their bodies.

That kind of teaching deserves to live beyond one class.

POSE FOR A CAUSE turns your relationship with a pose into a dedicated YOGI TIMES editorial feature, a lasting piece of content that introduces your voice, your method, and the care behind your teaching.

10-15% of each contribution supports a meaningful yoga-aligned charity.

If there is a pose you have returned to again and again, this may be the one to make part of your teaching legacy.

Your first yoga class does not need a performance. A few practical choices can make the unfamiliar feel more manageable: ask about the class, arrive with time to settle, and tell the teacher you are new. You can take a break or decline hands-on adjustments. What do you wish someone had told you before your first class?

The part of yoga we rarely talk about?
Most of us have had moments on the mat where we were trying to look like we had landed somewhere.
A deeper fold, cleaner line or even a calmer face.
Then there are the other moments, the more authentic ones, when you notice the breath is tight, the body is resisting, or the shape you had in mind is not the shape your body actually wants to get into today.
This is where the practice becomes interesting.
It is less about performance and more about paying attention. More willingness to meet what is actually here.

Yes, a reel can catch attention, but an article can tell the whole story.

For a yoga teacher, the real depth is often in the details: why a pose matters to you, how you guide it, what you have learned from teaching it, and what you hope students understand beyond the shape.

That deserves more room than a quick caption.

POSE FOR A CAUSE gives your teaching an editorial home on YOGI TIMES, a dedicated feature that introduces your voice, your relationship to the pose, and the work you are building in the world.

Through Pose for a Cause, YOGI TIMES offers teachers multilingual publishing, social and YouTube visibility, and the opportunity to support a meaningful yoga-aligned charity through their participation

If there is a pose that carries part of your story, perhaps this is where it begins.
