As summer comes to an end, it’s a good time to take a closer look at your skin. ☀️🔎

The ABCDEs of melanoma are an easy way to remember what to watch for when checking your moles:
A — Asymmetry: One half doesn’t match the other
B — Border: Irregular, blurred, or poorly defined edges
C — Color: Multiple colors or uneven pigmentation
D — Diameter: Larger than 6 mm (about the size of a pencil eraser)—although melanomas can be smaller
E — Evolving: Any mole that is changing in size, shape, color, or appearance

And remember: Evolving is especially important. If a spot looks different from the rest or is changing, have it evaluated by a dermatologist.

A few minutes checking your skin now can help you notice changes early.

Every blepharoplasty should be customized to both a patient’s anatomy and how their face moves. The goal: natural-looking eyes at rest and in motion.

For this patient, Dr. Sharabi removed excess upper eyelid skin, tightened the lower lids for improved support, and added nano fat to the tear trough to improve skin quality while maintaining her natural eye shape and contour.

The result is a refreshed, rested appearance that preserves her natural expression and facial harmony 🤍

Healing takes patience, and every scar is unique. Following your post-operative instructions, protecting your incision from the sun, and giving your body time are all essential for the best possible result.

• 0–14 days: Your incision is fresh as your body begins the healing process.
• 14 days–6 months: The scar enters its active remodeling phase and may appear darker, more red, firmer, or more noticeable as collagen remodels.
• 6+ months: The scar continues to mature, gradually becoming softer, lighter, and less visible.
