What are the minimal conditions required for safety?

Men: Stop farming out the emotional labor in your relationship to your woman.

Do your part. She has enough s**t she's holding.

Instead, learn to feel. Learn to feel, all the way down, especially if you want deep intimacy with other men, a female partner, and your kids. When you can feel anything, it's more likely that you will be able to handle her when she's feeling anything.

Learn how to validate her feelings. They should make sense to you. If they don't, ask questions to understand her better.

Stop taking her feelings as some personal affront to your ego. When you do that, you make things worse.

Say stuff like, "Your hurt feelings make sense, because I did ___________ behavior." This move alone will save you countless hours going in circles.

Just because your dad sucked it up when things were hard in a relationship doesn't mean you have to.

What you need to realize now is that sucking it up = sucking at deep intimacy.

There is a time and a place to suck it up. In a competitive game, at the gym, or when you want to quit. Instead of "sucking it up" in a partnership, feel stuff. Dig deep. Work hard. Empathize. Listen differently. Hire a coach. Do trauma work. Heal your past. Communicate better.

And please, whatever you do, don't buy into nonsense that men can't feel or have incredibly deep connections. It's bulls**t. We can have as deep of a connection as we desire. We just have to know how.
