Last year, a social safety net grant from Adirondack Community Foundation set a vital vision in motion. Today, that vision is a reality through our ongoing partnership with Lakeside House Inc.

By combining AHDC’s housing with Lakeside House’s expert on-site case management, we’ve created a sustainable model at Beacon House. This collaboration ensures that residents have more than just a place to live — they have the professional support and stability needed to heal and rebuild at their own pace.

We are so grateful to Adirondack Community Foundation for the early investment that helped make this collaboration a success.

We're always looking for Per Diem staff.

Lakeside House, Inc. is looking for Per-diem Counselors, to be called for call-outs, vacations, etc. Training provided for 2-3 months, as needed. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lakeside House provides services and a supportive community to people experiencing challenges maintaining mental health and a stable living environment. We help people improve their quality of life and achieve their highest level of independence.

Under supervision this position will.
* Provide supports and services which involve advocating for our residents
* Encourage, guide and teach individuals in expressing personal choice.
* Ensure community integration.
* Coach and encourage individuals to develop daily living skills.
* Provide a clean safe and comfortable environment.
* Work with other staff to carry out and record care plans.
* Administer medication in accordance with special instructions.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, at least. An Associates Degree and 2 years' experience working with individuals with psychiatric disabilities, preferred but not required.
