Our outpatient care in Saranac Lake is growing.

St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers is expanding its Saranac Lake outpatient services into a Comprehensive Outpatient Program at the Robert R. Reiss Community Services Center, adding more ways to support recovery, closer to home.

Treatments available include Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT), with options such as buprenorphine and methadone for opioid use disorder, and acamprosate, disulfiram or naltrexone for alcohol use disorder, alongside counseling and ongoing support built around each person.

We meet people where they are. If you or someone you love is ready to take a first step, we're here. Full expanded services start Tuesday, Aug. 25.

What does recovery look like when it's backed by an entire network of support? At St. Joseph's, that question has an answer: the Daxia Integrated Health Network.

Daxia connects St. Joseph's with Citizen Advocates; Community, Work & Independence (CWI); North Country Freedom Homes; Harison Place; and the Fieldstone Foundation, six organizations working side by side to expand access to behavioral health, addiction services, housing, employment and community-based care across Upstate New York.

Summer's friendly competition carried on for St. Joseph's last week. Picnic number four brought together staff from St. Joseph's, Citizen Advocates, the Fieldstone Foundation and Harison Place for an afternoon in Malone centered on connection, teamwork and a bit of good-natured competition.

The Momentum Games were the highlight of the day. Granny pants kept everyone laughing, sport darts drew an enthusiastic crowd and the water balloon toss offered a welcome way to cool off in the summer heat. Employees from different departments found themselves working side by side, cheering one another on throughout the afternoon.

That sense of connection is exactly what these gatherings are about. Four picnics in, the tradition continues to bring familiar and new faces together in the same place. Thank you to everyone who came out, participated and helped make the day a success.

The new campus increases the availability of treatment beds for adults ages 18 and older, expanding access to substance use care across Upstate New York. It's another step in strengthening a full Network of care for individuals and families in our region.

Some days just call for being outside. Last week, St. Joseph's Inpatient Campus hosted the second employee picnic of the summer, and the weather could not have cooperated more.

Employees from across the Network spent the afternoon together, playing granny pants, sport darts, water balloon toss and co****le as part of this year's Momentum Games, and simply enjoying a beautiful day in Saranac Lake.

Sunshine, good company and a full afternoon of games, St. Joseph's Inpatient Campus could not have asked for a better day to host last week's employee picnic.

Staff from our Inpatient Campus welcomed colleagues from Citizen Advocates' Saranac Lake Outpatient Clinic and Community Operations programs for an afternoon that mixed relaxation with a little competitive spirit. Granny pants, sport darts, water balloon toss and co****le kept things lively, part of this year's Momentum Games, but the real highlight was simply the chance to slow down and spend time with colleagues from across the Network.
