What social media doesn’t show you about injectables… 💉

Everyone sees the before and after, but very few people talk about everything that happens in between.

There may be swelling, bruising, and a healing period before you see your final result. Bruising isn’t always a reflection of your injector’s skill it can happen even with the best technique because everyone’s anatomy is different.

Natural-looking results also take patience. Tox needs time to kick in, filler needs time to settle, and collagen stimulators build gradually over time.

An informed patient is a confident patient, and I’d rather you walk into your appointment feeling prepared than surprised.

WHAT TO KNOW
Wrinkle relaxers work by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles that create lines from repeated movement.

Best for patients noticing frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, or chin dimpling.

• Daxxify uses a peptide-based formulation and may be best for patients wanting longer-lasting results and fewer maintenance visits
• Xeomin is uniquely purified and free from added proteins, making it a good option for patients who prefer a more purified wrinkle relaxer

But midface support, chin projection, and jawline definition often work together.

For this patient, filler was placed in the cheeks, chin, and jawline to help improve facial structure while keeping her result natural.

HOW THESE AREAS BALANCE EACH OTHER

• The cheeks help support the midface. When this area has better structure, the face can look more lifted and less tired.

• The chin helps bring balance to the lower face and side profile. Even subtle chin support can make the lips, nose, and jawline look more proportionate together.

• The jawline helps frame the lower face. Adding definition here can create a cleaner transition from the chin into the jaw and neck.
