Let’s be honest — fitting one more thing into your schedule as a parent can feel impossible sometimes 😅

Between naps, school pickup, sports, sibling schedules, meals, and everyday life, even making it to therapy appointments can become stressful.

At Key Pediatric Therapy, flexibility is a huge part of our approach because we know children and families thrive best when support feels realistic and manageable.

That’s why services are designed to meet families where they are — whether that’s at school, in the community, before activities, or in settings that naturally fit into your routine.

Meet Mr. Mouth — one of my favorite therapy friends!

When teaching a new speech sound, I will almost always start with a visual. Children learn in so many different ways, and being able to SEE how their mouth, tongue, lips, and teeth work together can make a huge difference.

Teaching anatomy with Mr. Mouth is often step one in our sessions!

The best part? The kids think he’s absolutely hilarious 😂

We’ve made Play-Doh tongues, “fed” him snacks, brushed his giant teeth, and used Play-Doh to show where sounds are made in the mouth. What feels silly and playful to kids is actually helping build understanding, awareness, and confidence while learning new sounds.

Therapy should feel engaging, interactive, and fun... especially when learning something new.

Hi, I’m Ciara - the face behind Key Pediatric Therapy.

I thought it was time for a little reintroduction.

I was born in Zimbabwe, and travel has always been a huge part of my life. My family tries to take one big trip every year, and this summer we’re headed to Aruba and Tofino with our two little ones.

Outside of therapy, you can usually find me baking a birthday cake, spending time with my family, or catching up on Bravo (Summer House fans… you get it 😂).

I’m so grateful to continue growing Key Pediatric Therapy. Supporting children and meeting families where they are is such a privilege, and I’m so thankful you’re here.

Now I want to know... where is everyone traveling this summer? And if you’ve been to Aruba or Tofino, send me your recommendations!

We know navigating scholarships and funding can feel overwhelming at first, so we wanted to break the process down into simple steps for families.

Key Pediatric Therapy is an approved Step Up provider and we’re happy to help families better understand how funding may be used for eligible therapy services.

Every family’s situation and scholarship type may look a little different, so we always encourage families to review eligibility requirements directly through Step Up For Students.

Introducing Key Pediatric Therapy ✨

Formerly known as Ciara Johnson Speech Therapy, this rebrand represents so much more than just a new name and logo, it reflects the growth, vision, and heart behind this practice.

As a mom of two, I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to juggle appointments, school schedules, activities, and everyday life. That’s why Key Pediatric Therapy was built around a flexible, family-centered approach designed to fit seamlessly into real life.

I strive to meet families where they are... whether that’s at private schools, in the community, at swim lessons, church, or other environments that support a child’s success. My goal is to make therapy feel less like another obligation and more like a natural, supportive part of your family’s routine.

While the name has changed, the heart behind the care remains the same: personalized, play-based, evidence-based therapy rooted in strong relationships and meaningful progress beyond our sessions.

I’m so excited for this next chapter and grateful to have you here.

A new look is coming. Maybe it’s the beauty of being a woman, but we’re allowed to evolve, dream bigger, and change our minds. I’ve been working with and Carley has brought my vision to life and aligned my brand so beautifully. I cannot wait to share everything with you over the next week.
