Residents boarded the Prestwick Chase Mercedes Shuttles and headed up to a restaurant named, "The Boathouse" on Lake George. This incredible spot has magnificent views of the lake. Their menu has much to offer from spicy buffalo wings, to succulent lobster rolls or shrimp pasta, to name just a few.

Prestwick Chases prime location, makes it perfect for trips up to the Adirondack Region. A short 25 minute ride north brings you to historical Lake George. This deep blue, 32 mile lake is steep in history. There are wonderful shops, historical Revolutionary War forts, lake cruises and fine dining all through the area.

SUMMER TIME STEEL FUN

Peace Pan Band came to Prestwick Chase to put on a show for the residents. The rhythmic performance was so much fun and up lifting. Some residents started dancing while others simply enjoyed taking in this Caribbean style form of music. This has been a fun filled summer of entertainment for the community to attend both locally and here at the property itself.

HOCUS POCUS

Prestwick Chase residents were treated to an amazing show performed by Josh Farley, an illusionist and magician. Josh has performed in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He combines comedy with mind blowing illusions. He is a top notch performer who currently is on tour and has shows booked in all 50 states for this year alone.

Prestwick Chase was thrilled that Josh accepted a booking to put on a show for our community. We wish for him a fantastic touring season. We know how high of a demand performer he is and will always be grateful that he came to Prestwick Chase!

A DREAM COME TRUE

This years Saratoga Horse Racing season has been a dream come true for the McNeary family. Frederick J. McNeary, Sr. had his first time taste of the winners circle at the Saratoga Race Track. His horse, Babcie a philly, recently won first place by 9 lengths, blowing away the competition. She is one fast girl!

It was a joy to see the McNeary family in the winners circle and shaking hands with the jockey. Residents and staff of Prestwick Chase reflected on how lovely such a moment was. Few individuals ever get to see that winners circle. When you think of all the time, effort and hard work that goes into raising a race horse, training and preparing for that race...it is a lot.

We look forward to many more races with Babcie. She will always be a special horse for the McNeary family and for her connection with Prestwick Chases community.

THE GREAT SARATOGA CLAMBAKE GALA

Prestwick Chase was a proud contributing sponsor for this important event. This high end gala helps the Saratoga Hospital's Community Benefit Programs. The event brings in business leaders and social elites from across the region to bid on auction items.

Despite the rainy weather the event was packed and the cuisines offered were amazing. Prestwick Chase was represented by multiple members of the management team. The McNeary family, who owns Prestwick Chase, have always and continue to be big supporters of local businesses. The spirit to give back and be a positive influence in the region is a guiding principal of the family.

We look forward to future endeavors with Saratoga Hospital and other community events held through out the year in Saratoga Springs.

GARDENS OF SUMMER

What a glorious summer day today. The resident garden boxes are so lush and filled with vibrant colors. Their flowers stretching upwards to soak in the warm summer sun. The sky a deep blue hue, with feathered clouds a drift.

Veggies are not far away from being able to be harvested. Nothing like growing your own delicious salad mix, right outside of your own homes. Soon the apple size tomatoes will trade their green skins for those deep wonderful red and orange colors.

There is even farmers markets that show up on the property as well. Residents of Prestwick Chase are great supporters of local family farms and businesses. The nature abounds at Prestwick. It's always a soothing sound to hear the fountains in the ponds around the property, especially near the garden boxes.

Yes these are the days of summer, to sit out on a patio, reading a book. It is also a day to take that little summer nap outside we all enjoy when the breeze brushes your face and one hears the quick buzzing sound of a hummingbird flying by. All our senses being teased by nature.

We wish for our residents a fantastic summer filled with relaxation and joy. A time to enjoy friends and family stopping by for a simple nature walk around the property. Life abounds and paints such a meaningful canvass of colors. Take a moment outside, close the eyes, breath it in. This is YOUR SUMMER DELIGHT.

MARTINI MONDAY

The HighRock Bar & Lounge hosted a special event today for residents to sign up and attend. Today was Martini Monday. This exclusive event allows for residents to sample unique drinks and a bit of history behind them.

Todays feature was a "Purple Vespara Martini". The Purple Vesper Martini (often called a "Violet Vesper") is a vibrant twist on James Bond's classic Casino Royale cocktail. By swapping traditional gin for color-changing butterfly pea flower gin (like Empress 1908), the drink naturally turns a stunning, deep violet color when mixed with the citrus garnish.

The residents who signed up and attended, absolutely loved the sampling and enjoyed this very smooth suave style drink. We look forward to the next event and a new amazing martini that will be offered.

FOOD, FIRE AND FUN

Group of residents headed down to Azuma Sushi Bistro for dinner outing in Malta, New York. At Azuma's, dining guests are previewed to the amazing blade skills of the Chef's. A person literally is treated to a show as the Chef's prepare their unique dishes.

Whether its chopping knifes twirling through the air with fire or a hilarious shot of saki from a super soaker sq**rt gun shot into a dinner's mouth at distance, you're in for a heck of a good time. This particular group of residents really had a wonderful time as it was their birthday.

Thank you to the Management and Staff of Azuma's for a dazzling show of hospitality and fantastic cuisines. We will be back!!

250th CELEBRATION

Prestwick Chase residents ushered in this very special July 4th celebration in style. The boulevard was lined with flags. The patriotic spirit was on full display.

The Chef's put on such a great spread of cuisine for everyone to enjoy. The food was so good and plentiful, no one left hungry! Residents also had corn hole, ladder ball and other outdoor games they could enjoy indoors since it was so hot outside.

It truly was a fun filled day and a wonderful time to celebrate the nations birthday. We loved seeing friends and extended family visiting and enjoying their time with their loved ones at the property. Thank you to all the hard work of the Management and Staff who were there with the spirit to serve others. Amy, the Activities Director went all out making the place so colorful. Thank you to all the residents who came to the party. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
