Enjoy this long weekend... it's historically a big boating weekend for those saying goodbye to summer. Please remind friends and family to stay sober while driving a boat, just like driving a vehicle.

It’s hard to believe but the 2026/2027 school year is fast approaching! As the Prevention Council prepares to partner with our Saratoga County Districts, we are making a conscious effort to meet you where you are at. We have created a quick survey that is designed to help us understand the issues that impact your specific geographic area. If you could take a few minutes, scan the QR code and answer the questions, we would truly appreciate it.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month, and it's a reminder that checking in matters more than you may realize. A simple conversation, a listening ear, or letting someone know you're there for them can make a real difference. You don't need to have all the answers. Showing up with care, concern, and support is a powerful place to start.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available 24/7. Call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Today marks the 25th observance of National Overdose Awareness Day.

Overdose continues to impact individuals, families, and communities across the country. But there is hope: overdose is preventable.

By increasing awareness, reducing stigma, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another with compassion and respect, we can help save lives and build stronger, healthier communities.

Today, we remember those we have lost, support those affected, and reaffirm our commitment to prevention, education, and hope.

Together, we can make a difference.
