This type of “rough” play with fathers is so beneficial to children. Throwing kids on the bed, acting like a monster, tickle fights, thumb wars, are fun and good for the development of children.

There are 800,000 American veterans who served in operations in Afghanistan from 2001-2021.

This same veterans are seeing war ships out in the same seas in which they served, and planes bombing the same area of the world as the U.S. did for almost 20 years.

I find that is is helpful to use visuals like this in our minds to reinforce helpful habits and give ourselves little pep talks when we need courage. This scene from “The Fellowship of the Ring” is an example I use for setting boundaries. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!

Yesterday there was a small win for Internet safety for kids with the announcement of discord’s new default settings. Discord has lots of uses in education,  team networking , and even stock trading. However, most of the kids I have worked with whom have been engaging with adults and adult content have been on discord in the past.

Discord is announcing enhanced teen safety features rolling out globally that reinforce its long-standing commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive experience for users over the age of 13.
