Milk May Help Slow Osteoarthritis
A four-year study looked at about 2,000 people with osteoarthritis in at least one knee. According to X-rays of their knee cartilage, women who drank 1-3 glasses of low-fat milk per week had a 33% reduced risk of arthritis progression compared to women who drank none. Women who recorded having at least 7 glasses of low-fat milk a week had a 44% lower risk. The benefit may be due to milk's calcium and vitamin D content. This study does not prove cause-and-effect, only an association. Also, the study did not show as much evidence for milk's impact on arthritis in men.

Check Your Prescription Drug Supply.
You will need enough doses of each of your prescription drugs to last for your entire trip, plus several extra doses in case you are delayed while traveling. Talk with your doctor if your insurance provider will not issue extra doses to you. Your doctor should be able to work with your insurance company and pharmacy to get you the extra medications you need. If you take any over-the-counter medications, be sure you have enough of them on hand, too. Have questions? Call us and we will help!

Hepatitis Awareness Week July 2026

One person dies every 30 seconds from a hepatitis-related illness. Hepatitis is a liver condition that can cause symptoms like abdominal pain, yellow skin or eyes, fever, and fatigue. Some people, though, don't experience any symptoms at all. So if you think you might have been exposed to hepatitis, it's important to get yourself tested and keep yourself safe.
