It is with utter sadness that we announce the passing of our long-time volunteer, board member, and friend, Sulli Schultz.

Sulli has been an invaluable part of our organization since 2014, after her mother introduced her to BAAB. If anyone had a question that they just couldn't find the answer to, Sulli was the person to ask. Her knowledge, dedication, and commitment made an everlasting impact on everyone she met. She poured her heart into BAAB and her dedication to helping others will not be forgotten.

She was not a fan of sharing photos of herself but did allow us to share one for our Volunteer Spotlight in our July Newsletter. To honor how she felt about her photos, I have not attached one to this post but if you would like to see her article, a link to that newsletter can be found on our page.

In honor of Sulli, we will be creating a sensory garden and planting a tree at our office. This will be a lasting tribute to the countless lives that she touched and the love that she gave to BAAB. We will be hosting a Celebration of Life at our office on August 22nd, more details about this celebration will be posted in the near future.

📣Calling all compassionate volunteers!

🏃‍♂️‍➡️ Our annual Sprint for Sight 5K is coming up! 🏃‍♀️

We are looking for at least twenty sighted volunteers to be guides for our low vision and blind participants. If you are not already a volunteer with BAAB, please fill out the form in the comment section below and bring it into our office or email it to: [email protected]

If you are not interested in being a guide but would still like to volunteer, there are several other volunteer positions available on our signup!

We had such an amazing time during our tactical day adventure at the Brevard Zoo on June 10th!

Our clients were able to touch replica skulls, jaws, pelts, and more. We were also graciously given the opportunity to feed the giraffes 🦒 , which was a huge hit for all of our clients!

We want to give a sincere thanks to the kind volunteers and educators who made our tactile day possible!
