A little ASMR 🌶️ You can literally hear the mask doing its job.

Oh, and you hear me too 😂 but that’s besides the point. We’re talking about THIS mask and what it brings to my treatment room.

I’ve talked about carboxy before, so I won’t repeat too much, but I chose this as the starting point for his treatment journey because we’re working on hyperpigmentation and creating a more even, radiant looking complexion.

The goal isn’t to jump straight into an aggressive treatment. We’re starting by supporting the skin, improving radiance and circulation, and beginning to address the excess pigment before progressing into more advanced treatments as his skin allows.

And because of his job, his skin is exposed to pollution and other environmental stressors that can contribute to oxidative stress and inflammation. So home care is just as important as what we do in the treatment room.

Today we did carboxy therapy + cold therapy to finish and calm the skin, and he also picked up his home care so we can keep the consistency going between appointments.

One treatment is just the beginning. We’re building his skin up and working our way toward those results. 🤎

Stacking treatments should be intentional. Each step should have a purpose and complement the next based on the condition and goals of the skin.

For my own skin, I combined dermaplaning + Dermathod Radiance 345 + LED + cooling, with my main focus being my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone while still supporting my skin after treatment.

The Radiance 345 was the star of this treatment because the ampoule is specifically formulated around brightening, pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

Then came the recovery portion. After creating that controlled stimulation, I didn’t feel the need to keep stimulating my skin. I used LED, a soothing sheet mask and my cold hammer to help cool and soothe the skin and bring the treatment to a close.

More treatments ≠ better results.

It’s about knowing what your skin needs, when it needs it, and when to leave it alone.

And yes, this is my skin after ONE treatment. 👀✨ I’m going to continue documenting my progress because real skincare takes consistency and time.

Okay, but what do all these numbers actually mean? 👀

This is where the Muilli skin analysis gets interesting because I’m able to see more than just what I see in the mirror.

The biggest changes were dryness, pigmentation, and wrinkles. My dryness score went from 56 → 34, which tells me the hydration work I’ve been doing is making a difference. My pigmentation score also went from 79 → 59, so that improved too. 🙌🏾

My oil score stayed at 64, which means I’m still working on oil control, but I’m not trying to strip my skin to get there. It’s about finding that balance.

My redness did increase, so that’s something I’m paying attention to as I move into my next phase.

Now that I’ve spent this month focusing on hydration, barrier support, and oil balance, I have a much better idea of where I want to go next.

🎯 Next focus: pigmentation.

This is exactly why I like tracking my skin. I can use the data to make adjustments instead of just throwing products and treatments at my face and hoping for the best.

My skin, one month apart 👀

I scanned my skin in July, then my Muili scanner decided to give me an error message for the next month 😂 Today it finally worked again, and I was actually excited to see the difference.

I’ve been consistent with my skincare for the past month and today’s scan showed better moisture and a lower wrinkle reading. My pigmentation is still high, though, and that’s okay. Not every concern changes at the same pace.

This is exactly why I love having the Muili Skin Scanner as part of my facials. It magnifies the skin so I can see details that aren’t always easy to see with the naked eye. It gives me another piece of information to work with when customizing your treatment and home care.

And yes, this is MY skin. 😂 Even as an esthetician, I have pores, pigmentation, oiliness and things I’m working on.

Healthy skin doesn’t mean perfect skin. It means understanding your skin, staying consistent and adjusting as your skin changes.

And those product recommendations that pop up at the end of your scan? They’re recommendations, not a requirement to purchase. I can always work with products you already have or suggest alternatives that fit your needs and budget.

Your skin is a work in progress. Mine is too. 💚

For our first appointment, we focused on what her skin needed most — barrier repair + hydration. She’s committed to her home care recommendations too, so now we can really start working toward her skin goals.

Next up: evening out her skin tone + addressing hyperpigmentation. 👀

I wanted to bring y’all along as I track my own skincare journey, but my machine said “beep boop… not today.” 😂

It was annoying as hell, but I’m getting more comfortable with the voiceovers, so I figured I’d leave the bloopers in too. 😂

Now my analyzer needs to be fixed EXPEDITIOUSLY because I’m not doing this again. 😭😂

I know everyone wants the “before & after” moment, but I like the BEFORE before the after.

When I see a first-time client, I’m not thinking “What’s the most aggressive treatment I can do today?” I’m thinking:

* What’s contributing to their concerns?
* What’s their skin barrier telling me?
* What can we safely address today?
* What needs to wait?

Hyperpigmentation and anti-aging don’t happen overnight, and neither do the results.

Today’s goal wasn’t perfection. It was hydration, gentle extractions, skin analysis, and creating a plan moving forward.

Healthy skin isn’t built in one facial and corrective skincare isn’t one size fits all. Give me consistency over quick fixes every single time.
