Fourth time’s the charm! 🏔️
After three previous attempts cut short by weather, I finally made it to the summit of Dick’s Peak. This time, the skies cooperated and the conditions couldn’t have been better.
Yesterday, Dipsea and I joined the fabulous RadSteph 🤗 for 15.5 miles and 4,000 feet of elevation gain up Dick’s Peak. Somewhere between the conversations, the laughter, the sore legs, and the incredible views, I was reminded how important it is to step away from the noise and spend time doing things that make you feel alive.
Watching Dipsea navigate steep terrain and push through a big day in the mountains made me incredibly proud. She may have slept the entire ride home, but she earned every mile.
The older I get, the more I appreciate simple things: meaningful friendships, movement, nature, and the chance to be fully present for a few hours.
The mountains don’t solve life’s problems, but they have a way of putting them into perspective.
My heart is full. ❤️
