These meetings are a chance to share ideas and stay aligned on how we care for our patients. From team-wide discussions to smaller breakout groups, we look at what’s working, where we can improve, and how we continue to grow together.

This patient presented with a squamous cell carcinoma along the side of the nose, one of the most common types of skin cancer. In areas like this, preserving healthy skin is key to maintaining natural contour.

Using Mohs surgery, Dr. Decker removed the tumor in 2 stages, examining each layer under the microscope to ensure complete removal while conserving surrounding tissue.

The area was then reconstructed using an advancement flap; sliding adjacent skin over to cover the defect while allowing the scar lines to be well hidden within natural contours of the face.

At 2 months, the patient is cancer-free and healing beautifully.
