What is it really like to be a CNA at Hospice Savannah? Hear directly from Patricia McPhatter about her experience providing care and comfort.

At Savannah’s only community-based, non-profit hospice, our CNAs are more than healthcare providers—they are a vital source of emotional connection for patients and families during their most sacred moments.

Thank you Patricia for your dedication!

National CNA Week, celebrated June 11–17, 2026, recognizes the compassionate care, dedication, and support Certified Nursing Assistants provide each day.

This year’s theme, “We’re Unbelievable,” reflects the extraordinary impact CNAs have on patients, families, and healthcare teams through their kindness and commitment. At Hospice Savannah, our CNAs provide comfort, dignity, and compassionate presence during some of life’s most meaningful moments, making a lasting difference for the patients and families we serve. During CNA Week, we proudly celebrate and thank these incredible caregivers for all they do.

Join us Tuesday, July 21 for an evening of music and casual Mahjong for a good cause. We will have an expert instructor onsite to offer support to anyone who is new to the game or hoping to brush up on their skills. Bring your National Mahjong League card if you have one. If not, we will provide what you need. Plan on light bites and a bubbly bar along with some fabulous auction/raffle items.

All proceeds will support Hospice Savannah’s Music Therapy program.

Last month, Full Circle Grief and Loss Center hosted another awesome Camp Aloha.

With 45 campers, and 38 volunteers, there were actually several former campers who came back as volunteers, and 3 volunteers who had logged 2 decades of camp!

The weekend was challenging because of the rain, but the closing “Camp Fire” ritual went forward with a lot of creative pivoting and a ton of work from camp staff and volunteers.

Special thank you to both Southern Motors Savannah CDJR and Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
