People suffering from acid reflux are finding lasting relief with the cTIF procedure. This treatment is offered in Savannah through a collaborative approach between surgeon T. Ellis “Chip” Barnes, MD, and gastroenterologist Jonathan Kandiah, MD. Reflux surgery was previously considered a last resort for controlling heartburn. Now, the success and safety of the cTIF procedure is making it an effective choice for people who just want to stop taking acid reflux medication. Learn more at https://savannahreflux.com/

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from the OR.

While most people are celebrating with family, cookouts, and fireworks, hospitals keep moving—and so do the people who make them run.

Today I’m grateful for the nurses, techs, anesthesia teams, environmental services, transport, and everyone working behind the scenes to care for our patients. Surgery is never a one-person job. It’s a team sport, and I’m lucky to work with some of the very best.

Apparently, wearing patriotic headgear is now an annual tradition… I’ve learned not to fight it. 🇺🇸😂

Hope everyone has a safe, happy Independence Day.

Now crank up James Brown.

🇺🇸🎆
