My Morning Routine ☕🐶
Every morning, the first thing I do is pour myself a cup of coffee and sit with my dog, Sonny. It’s our little ritual—just me, my caffeine, and my loyal companion by my side.
The caffeine in my coffee wakes me up, sharpens my focus, and gives me the energy to take on the day. At the same time, having Sonny next to me isn’t just comforting—it’s actually good for me! Spending time with him releases oxytocin, the “love hormone,” which lowers stress and boosts overall well-being.
This quiet time is when I do my best thinking, planning, praying, and meditating. I try (not always successfully) to avoid checking emails, scrolling through social media, or diving into the news first thing. Starting my day with intention instead of distraction makes all the difference.
