GOOD NEWS FOR AUGUST 23, 2026 ✨🌎
Because we are tired of the crazy BS and there is still so much beauty happening in this world…
🦦 A North American river otter has been spotted in the Bronx River for the first time in approximately 100 years. After decades of pollution and habitat loss, years of restoration have helped bring wildlife back to this New York City waterway. Nature is remarkably resilient when we give her a chance. 💚 (WCS Programs)
🐌 Twenty-one snails were brought back from the brink of extinction. A conservation breeding program has now returned hundreds of their descendants to their Atlantic island habitat.
🕊️ White storks have returned to England’s Midlands after roughly 600 years. SIX HUNDRED. YEARS. Nature has an extraordinary capacity to come home when we give her the opportunity.
🦧 Rescued orangutans released into protected forest are now having babies in the wild. The rehabilitation effort isn’t simply keeping animals alive... it’s helping establish a new wild population.
🐢 And here’s one especially close to home here on the SE coast: Georgia loggerhead sea turtles have broken a nesting record... the highest count in 37 years. 💜
And beyond the headlines…
💜 Somewhere today, someone adopted an animal that needed a home.
💜 Someone checked on a neighbor.
💜 Someone planted a tree they may never sit beneath.
💜 Someone gave without needing recognition.
💜 Someone chose kindness when it would have been easier not to.
There is pain in our world, absolutely.
But there is also healing.
There is restoration.
There is kindness.
There is progress.
There is goodness everywhere.
Sometimes we simply have to remember to look for it. 🌿✨
Raise your vibration by noticing what is still beautiful. Happy Sunday 💜
