Residents enjoyed a dolphin cruise with Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure 🐬🌊 We enjoyed lunch at Huc-A-Poos Bites & Booze before heading out on the water, where we spotted plenty of dolphins along the way. What a memorable day on the water!

A big shoutout to our newest chef, Chef Michael! 👨‍🍳 His delicious meals, beautiful presentations, and incredible talent in the kitchen are already making an impression at River’s Edge.

One recent special featured perfectly seasoned shrimp over rice with fresh sautéed vegetables, golden cornbread, and creamy potato soup. We’re so excited to have Chef Michael as part of the River’s Edge family and can’t wait to see what he creates next!

✨ July Resident Spotlight: Kay ✨

Kay was chosen as our July Resident Spotlight because she is a true leader and pioneer in our River’s Edge at Barclay House community!

Each Monday, Kay hosts a one hour sing along for our residents. With Kay playing the piano and leading the group, her sing-alongs have become a favorite with a wonderful turnout each week. She also helps keep our Balloon Volleyball group organized every Wednesday.

Kay is a kind and dedicated presence in our community who encourages others to get involved and brings people together.

When asked what she loves most about River’s Edge at Barclay House, Kay shared: “The community and the people here.”

Her advice to others is: “Get excited and involved in something bigger than yourself.”

Stephanie, our amazing physical therapist with Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, is helping our wonderful resident Cal build strength, confidence, and independence! 💙 Together, they are practicing safely navigating the stairs and building skills that support greater confidence in everyday life.

We are so grateful for Stephanie’s patience, encouragement, and dedication to helping our residents stay active and independent!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Kevin 🌟

This month, we’re excited to recognize Kevin as our Employee Spotlight!

Kevin has been a valued member of the Barclay House team for the past six months, serving as our Maintenance Coordinator. His responsibilities include general maintenance, service calls, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and managing the Housekeeping Department.

Kevin was selected for his outstanding work ethic, dedication, and commitment to every project he takes on. He is always willing to put in extra time when needed, and his leadership has earned the respect of both his team and fellow coworkers. In just six months, Kevin has accomplished an incredible amount and made a lasting impact on our community.

Kevin says his favorite part of working at Barclay House is his coworkers.
