Sometimes the biggest change isn’t in your schedule—it’s in your perspective.

After a recent Purpose & Plants wellness workshop, one participant shared this reflection. Their words remind us that it’s easy to get caught in the rush of deadlines, responsibilities, and expectations while forgetting to care for ourselves.

Join us at the Dorm Room Ready workshop to prepare for these challenges before they arise! As students transition to college, our hope is that they begin this new chapter with good habits that protect their health, resilience, and well-being.

The dorm room may be packed—but is your student prepared for the decisions waiting on the other side of move-in day?

The greatest challenges of freshman year are not always academic.

National college-health data show that more than three out of four undergraduates get fewer than eight hours of sleep on weeknights. The latest Healthy Minds Study found that 37% of students screened positive for moderate or severe depressive symptoms, 33% for moderate or severe anxiety, and 67% said emotional or mental difficulties had affected their academic performance during the previous four weeks.

Most students know that sleep, nourishing food, movement, and healthy relationships matter. The harder part is knowing what to do when the dining hall feels overwhelming, the roommate relationship becomes uncomfortable, or stress begins to spiral.

That's why we created Dorm Room Ready.

In one afternoon, students and parents will leave with practical tools they can begin using immediately, including:

• A realistic sleep and caffeine strategy
• Dining hall defaults and dorm-room food plans
• An Emergency Reset for stressful moments
• Roommate and boundary-setting scripts
• A connection plan for building healthy relationships and asking for help
• A First 14 Days Blueprint for starting college with intention
• A Weekly CEO Meeting to stay focused and on track

Parents will also leave with practical coaching questions, ways to support independence without immediately rescuing, and guidance on recognizing when a student may need additional help.

Every family receives the Dorm Room Ready Playbook, filled with recipes, grocery lists, trackers, checklists, stress-management tools, roommate scripts, and parent resources to use throughout the first semester.

College doesn't have to mean running on caffeine, constant stress, and an empty tank—but for many students, that's exactly what happens.

The transition to college is exciting, but it's also one of the biggest lifestyle changes a young adult will face. Without healthy habits in place, it's easy for sleep, nutrition, movement, and mental well-being to take a back seat.

As a parent, you can't choose every decision your student will make once they arrive on campus. But you can help them prepare before they get there.

Join us for Dorm Room Ready: Wellness Boot Camp for College-Bound Students and help your student learn practical, science-backed strategies to manage their energy, fuel their brain, and build simple habits that support focus, resilience, and long-term success—without depending on another energy drink.

Perfect for rising seniors, college-bound students, and families who want more than survival mode.

No kitchen? No problem! 🄣

Stocking your dorm room pantry is just as important as learning to make nutritious choices in the dining hall. Having wholesome, convenient foods on hand makes it easier to fuel your body between classes, avoid relying on vending machines, and start your day with lasting energy.

These dorm-friendly overnight oats are a perfect example: no stove required, easy to prepare the night before, and packed with ingredients to help keep you satisfied throughout a busy morning.

Ready to build healthy habits before college starts? Join our Dorm Room Ready workshop and learn practical, lifestyle medicine–based strategies to stock your dorm, navigate the dining hall with confidence, and create healthy routines that last long after move-in day.

One of the biggest hopes parents have for their child isn't just that they'll earn good grades—it's that they'll find their place.

The transition to college is filled with new experiences, but it can also bring moments of loneliness, uncertainty, and homesickness. Building meaningful relationships doesn't happen overnight, but every conversation, shared meal, study group, club meeting, or simple act of reaching out helps students grow roots in a new community.

A strong sense of belonging is more than a nice bonus—it's an important part of overall well-being. Feeling connected to others can support resilience, emotional health, and the confidence students need to navigate the challenges of college life.

Whether you're a student preparing for this next chapter or a parent wanting to help your child thrive, investing in healthy relationships is one of the best ways to prepare for a successful transition.

Join our Dorm Room Ready workshop to learn practical, lifestyle medicine–based strategies that help students build healthy habits, meaningful connections, and a strong foundation for lifelong well-being.
