🧶📰 Our "Loose Knit" group is making headlines!
We are so proud to share that the incredible residents of The Windsor of Savoy's Loose Knit group were recently featured in the News-Gazette! 💙
For more than a decade, this talented group has been doing so much more than knitting and crocheting—they've been building friendships, serving others, and making a meaningful impact throughout our community.
What began over 11 years ago with resident Pat McQuillen organizing a small knitting group has grown into a cherished tradition. Today, members create beautiful hats, scarves, blankets, and other handmade items that are donated to local organizations and sold during their annual fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. Last year's sale alone raised more than $3,000 for this important cause!
Beyond the wonderful craftsmanship, the Loose Knit group has become a place where residents find friendship, purpose, and belonging. As one resident shared, "You're happy when you're doing it, and happy when you give it." We couldn't agree more. ❤️
A special thank you to the News-Gazette for highlighting this amazing group and to Peggy Prichard for capturing such wonderful photos. We are incredibly proud of every member of Loose Knit and grateful for the kindness, generosity, and creativity they bring to Windsor of Savoy each week.
