The Art of Fiber is now on view at the Bigelow Arts Center. Featuring textiles and other fiber-based works created by resident artists, the exhibit celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the many ways art can be woven into everyday life.

This Memorial Day, we take time to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. At Piper Shores, that reflection is deeply personal. Many in our community carry stories of service that continue to shape who we are today.

In the afternoon, residents can attend a Memorial Day Concert featuring the Palaver Strings Quartet, who will perform classical selections before guests are invited to place flags on the oceanside lawn in remembrance of loved ones.

Along the trails of the Piper Shores campus, our resident birding group takes full advantage of the Scarborough woodlands. On any given walk, you might catch a House Finch, Carolina Wren, or a Song Sparrow in the branches above. Piper Shores is the perfect place to spot native Maine birds in their natural habitat.

Residents showcased their Earth Day expertise, highlighting a range of topics from pond samples and frogs to clouds, the moon and the tides. It was truly a joy to see the community come together in support of sustainability at Piper Shores.
