We're only four weeks away from the Maine Marathon! 🏃
Team MCCP is hard at work putting in miles and raising vital funds for Maine Children's Cancer Program Fund (MCCPF). The team is made up of inspiring individuals, and we're honored to share their stories and highlight their passion.
Meet Sei Sze, MD, a pediatric hematologist-oncologist at MaineHealth Pediatric Cancer Care, Blood Disorders, and IV Therapy. When asked why she is running with Team MCCP, she told us:
"It is such a joy and privilege to care for the amazing patients and families at MaineHealth Pediatric Cancer Care, Blood Disorders, and IV Therapy. I run to honor our brave patients, who inspire us every day with their grace and resilience in the face of unimaginable challenges, and their families who show incredible strength alongside them.
I run as a show of community—to raise awareness of the amazing work our team does every day, and to celebrate the people who surround and support our patients. Running has become a way for me to reflect and practice gratitude for what my body can do, and it reminds me that progress happens one step at a time. Whenever a run feels hard and I want to stop, I think of my patients. Their strength gives me the strength to keep going."
