You can heal from heart ache!

You don’t have to control every outcome to have a good life. 🌿✨

Do what you can, make your choices, and then allow things to unfold without constantly fighting for a specific result. 🤍❤️

Sometimes peace begins when you stop forcing and start trusting yourself. 🦋🍁

I've been thinking about forgiveness a lot lately. I often tell my clients "forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself." But what does that really mean? To me, it's a matter of healing one's nervous system, removal of emotional reactivity that hurts both mind and body. This is made possible by EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. Go to my website, feliceblock.com, and check out the EMDR tab.

Forgiveness is not relinquishing responsibility for what the other person has done to hurt you. It isn't forgetting what the person has done either. It is a way to heal yourself.....

What are your thoughts about forgiveness?

“When we give ourselves compassion, we are opening our hearts in a way that can transform our lives.”
– Kristin Neff

What if transformation doesn’t begin with doing more, fixing more, or striving harder?

What if it begins with how we respond to ourselves in moments of struggle?

Many of us offer understanding, encouragement, and compassion to others with ease. Yet when we face our own challenges, we often turn to self-criticism, pressure, or judgment.

Fierce Self-Compassion invites us to discover another way, one that helps us care for ourselves while also protecting our needs, setting healthy boundaries, and creating meaningful change.

As our 8-week journey begins tomorrow, I invite you to take a moment and reflect:
What might change in your life if you met yourself with compassion instead of criticism?

I stopped trying to control every outcome, stopped forcing what wasn’t meant for me, and stopped fighting battles that were only draining my soul. 🌿✨

Sometimes transformation begins when you finally release the need to control everything—and trust what unfolds next. 🤍💫♥️

Being the cycle breaker in your family doesn't come with applause. It comes with silence. Resistance. Denial. Blame.

Because when you stop playing your role in a dysfunctional system, it threatens the entire structure. You're no longer the compliant daughter. The peacekeeper. The secret holder. The emotional sponge. You stop pretending. You start naming what no one else is willing to look at. And for people who've spent their whole lives avoiding truth, your healing feels like betrayal.

Many families rely on unspoken agreements to survive.
Don't talk about the addiction. Don't mention the abuse.
Don't acknowledge the neglect. Don't feel too deeply.
Don't need too much.

And when you do-when you ask questions, set boundaries, say no, or choose distance, they call it disrespect. They say you're cold. Ungrateful. Dramatic. But what you really are is awake. You're no longer willing to sacrifice your sanity for belonging. You're no longer interested in keeping the peace when it costs you your voice.

Breaking the cycle often means losing connection with people you love. But the truth is, you were never truly connected. You were entangled. And there's a difference.
Love built on suppression isn't love. It's control.

If you're doing this work, if you're healing, unlearning, and walking away with clarity instead of rage, know this. You are not the problem. You are the pattern interrupt. You are the truth-teller. The mirror. The disruption they never saw coming. And yes, it's lonely. But it's also liberating.

You are not selfish for choosing peace over loyalty to dysfunction. You are not cruel for walking away from people who weaponised your compassion. You are not broken for feeling the grief that comes with choosing freedom over familiarity.

You are healing your lineage by refusing to repeat what broke you. And that is the most powerful kind of rebellion there is.
