We, at For Papa's Sake x Avid Health at Home, have the honor of caring for so many clients with a variety of backgrounds and needs. It is our mission to provide care to all who need it because we believe that everyone deserves to age gracefully, with dignity in their own home. There are several diagnoses that make this changeling for some, ALS being one of the most invasive. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, known as ALS, is a neurological disorder that affects the nerve cells of the spinal cord, which, overtime, deteriorates muscle movement and breathing. At this time, there is no known cure for ALS, there is only medication and therapy that can slow its advancement. Its rapid progression and unknown cause invoke feelings of worry, hopelessness, and uncertainty. Often times, people diagnosed with ALS are unsure of what steps to take after their diagnosis. No one deserves to feel this way, and no one deserves to be in the dark about their own future. We are committed to caring for all who need it, and especially so for our clients with ALS. We are proud to be participating in the 23rd Annual ALS Walk for Life, organized by the Les Turner ALS Foundation. The Les Turner ALS Foundation was founded in 1977 and has spent the subsequent decades raising funds to enhance research of the disease and provide resources to all those in need. For Papa's Sake x Avid Health at Home is a proud member of the Les Turner ALS family, and we are inspired by their dedication to ending this disease.
