Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the moment freedom reached the last enslaved people in 1865.

We invite our community to pause, learn, and reflect on the significance of this day and how we can each contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future.

One of the biggest misconceptions about postpartum challenges is that you're supposed to handle them on your own.

The truth? Support matters.

Bellevue Woman's Center recently joined Christina Arangio - WTEN for Women's Health Wednesday on WTEN to discuss postpartum mental health, common challenges new mothers face, and our free Healing After Baby support group.

Watch the conversation and help us spread the word to the moms and families in your life. Because caring for moms doesn't end when they leave the hospital.

What if relief from arthritis pain didn’t have to start with surgery?

Most people associate radiation oncology with cancer treatment. But at Ellis Medicine, low-dose radiation therapy is also helping some osteoarthritis patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and potentially delay joint replacement surgery.

Our innovative Osteoarthritis Radiation Treatment Program—led by Christopher Dolinsky, MD—offers patients a non-surgical option to reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve quality of life.

“This treatment is about giving patients another path forward,” said Dr. Dolinsky. “For many people with arthritis, even small improvements in mobility and pain relief can make a life-changing difference.”

“Since I had the radiation to the hip, I am so much more comfortable. I can now plan the hip replacement on my timeline instead of having to rush into it,” said Shahid Khan, the first patient at Ellis Medicine to receive the treatment.

His experience is one of many powerful examples of how this innovative approach is helping patients improve quality of life while reducing stress and discomfort from arthritis pain.
